M.A.CRE. Management analysis of the factoring product

Digital innovation is one of the most important levers through which companies can recover efficiency, with a potential direct effect on the generation of greater profits.

The specific mission of Benefind S.r.l. is to provide a concrete response in the form of specialized consultancy and IT solutions, while supporting companies in integrating advanced technological solutions into their business processes with a special focus on the banking and financial world in general, thanks to a historical background gained over twenty years in business.

This sector is peculiar, dominated by stringent regulations, hyper-structured and as such, extremely rigid. For this reason, devising solutions that may strongly impact the internal processes of banking institutions entails a deep understanding of the internal dynamics involved.

This is the background from which M.A.CRE (Credit Alert Monitoring) stems. Designed for the factoring industry, the tool aims at meeting the need for improvement and make the assignor / debtor monitoring process more manageable and likewise, enable the underlying relationship to be dealt with in the most effective manner while facilitating the factor’s commercial development.

In a nutshell, it is an effective “risk management” system, which, in the factoring industry, certainly cannot prescind from an in-depth analysis of assignor / debtor behaviour, which becomes easily usable and analyzable.

Why is it so important? First of all, we must point out that by constantly and methodically monitoring the relationships in question, particular insight can be gained in risk management, thus enabling a more fluid decision – making process.

“M.A.CRE. acts as an extension of the systems adopted – explains Alessandro Cicchi, CEO of Benefind S.r.l. – so as to constantly intercept typical and specialized factoring-related information as well as information that can be retrieved from both exogenous and endogenous databases. This allows the factoring company to carry out timely correction activities “.

A practical and modern system that stems from the need to solve issues frequently related to the difficulty in managing the heterogeneous mass of assigned debtors, with a consequent impact on the bank-company relationship. “The platform – concludes Cicchi – has been enjoying increasing success since its launch, mainly because it was created with the primary objective of facilitating cost containment, promptly detecting any ” early warning” signs and last but not least, increasing the level of service delivered to the clientele”.

It is easy to understand the reason for this growing success: in this moment of economic crisis, the constant and regular monitoring process attainable through M.A.CRE takes on even more importance. In fact, if on the one hand natural operativity determines a greater volume of assigned credits in order to generate the necessary liquidity to enable companies to overcome difficulties, on the other hand, it should be borne in mind that customary risk assessment models are not yet suitable for the new scenarios.

For this reason, in such context constant observation proves essential in order to verify the good performance or otherwise of the factoring relationships in their entirety.

M.A.CRE. a tool designed for factoring specialists

An effective risk management system in the factoring industry cannot overlook the importance of in-depth analysis of assignor and / or debtor behaviour.

Given the evolution of channels and methods for acquiring new customers, M.A.CRE. Factoring is an extension to the systems adopted, and as such, is able to accurately analyze and monitor the performance of assignor and / or debtor relationships and constantly intercept typical and specialized factoring-related information as well as information retrievable from “exogenous” and “endogenous” databases.
In fact, constant and methodical observation of debtor behaviour, besides providing particularly valuable risk management insights, allows the factoring company to implement timely corrective actions.
Our years-long experience as IT provider in the banking and financial sector allows us to clearly see that the main objective for factoring companies is to find solutions aimed at containing credit costs and improving the services delivered to the clientele through ongoing debtor monitoring.
This is not always easy and never straightforward. However, thanks to our system, it is possible to achieve effectiveness and efficiency while improving and accelerating operational and decision-making processes and collecting summary information which actually proves useful in a dashboard, such as to enable:
  • automatic, constant and periodic analysis, based on experience on relationships with clustering of the same based on calculated risk;
  • distribution to “managers” of information on risks and trends with detected alerts to allow targeted interventions;
  • provide the competent departments with adequate summary reports on risk management or commercial development.

Artificial intelligence. The future is already here

The answers have now become part of our present day reality and we can simply affirm that Artificial Intelligence represents an aggregate of technologies (from machine learning to natural language processing) that make it possible for machines to be “instructed” in order to achieve a targeted action.
The future of such technology heralds a new era where human ingenuity is amplified by the speed and precision of machines, transforming the relationship between people and technology and enhancing creativity and ability.
Artificial Intelligence has all the characteristics to become the greatest technological revolution in history; it represents a completely new production factor bound to determine significant growth in business, bringing automation to areas that used to be the exclusive domain of man through the creation of important tools to support decision-making skills and spread innovation throughout the entire society.
Current Artificial Intelligence applications can take advantage of the almost unlimited computing power of the cloud and the trend of chips designed for specific tasks, which is currently expanding especially in the analytics sector, thus enabling even higher levels of efficiency and calculation speed. It represents a combination of several rapidly evolving technologies which, taken altogether, allow machines to act with levels of intelligence seemingly similar to human intelligence.
Benefind has long established its own task force for the development of projects that exploit Artificial Intelligence. In particular, the team works in partnership with the University of Siena, making use, in particular, of the computing infrastructures made available by the Department of Information Engineering and Mathematical Sciences of Siena.

Training as a tool of excellence

A company can be viewed as a delicate ecosystem in which employees are the most important part as they ensure the smooth operation and competitiveness of the company itself.
While this may seem strange on the outside, human capital is regarded as being the greatest value for IT companies, and as such, should be constantly enhanced and incorporated into the surrounding environment.
As a company, we promote the implementation of internal training courses to motivate employees to learn new skills and improve those already in place. Staff training, in fact, allows the company to stay highly competitive in a market where evolution is very rapid.
We have ascertained that enhancing employee professionalism can be achieved only through the development and strengthening of internal human resources; in this respect, the ability to adapt (and in this specific case, to stimulate) technological and cultural changes, is also a critical characteristic factor. This is why training is necessary and indispensable to motivate employees to grow, acquire further skills and perform their duties at best, while keeping in mind the set goals. However, our attention is not only focused towards ourselves. In fact, we believe we are ambassadors of this digital revolution that our entire society is currently undergoing. For this reason, we have established important collaborations with companies specialized in the training field, such as Gi Formazione, Esedra Formazione and ISTUM, an institute for management studies.
Worth of mention is the creation, in collaboration with Gi Formazione, of a specialization course for new graduates in the IT field who were willing to enhance their skills in the Java programming language. At the end of the course, 84% of the participants joined the Benefind staff.
